Me in front of the door of lotus leaves, which symbolizes summer. This is at the city palace, in a court yard, where there were four different decorated doors, symbolizing monsoon, summer, spring and winter. And this is the "summer door". Above the door is a small figure of Parvati, the God Shiva's wife.

Our shower!

Me in one of the Jaipur bazaars today (Friday). All the silvery glitter is decoration for Diwali, many streets are decorated like that now, in different colors and shapes.

Me and Chris in one of the bazaars today, in Jaipur.

The Scandinavian hut.

Some of the volunteers at camp doing beautification work (painting and decorating schools in the villages) have been rehearsing for a play about how important education is. On Thursday afternoon they performed it at Beruwas school (some other volunteers teach there) for teachers, children and other people who had come to see from around the school. The other volunteers from camp also got to see it. It was entertaining!

Mathilda in our hut.

The Scandinavians!

Our very tidy shelves.

Mathilda, Betina and me outside our beautiful hut. Our hut is a very nice hut, one of the best I think. We even have tiles in our bathroom (not many other huts have that!) We also have a leaky toilet and sink, the bathroom door squeaks, you can't really go to the bathroom at night without waking the others. We also have birds visiting us, usually in the morning and until lunchtime. So when we get back from morning lessons there is usually bird poo here and there. But I think the birds are either not coming to visit us as often, or they're not as many...or I'm just getting used to them. And then we have the rats that started visiting us this week. All in all, it's a great hut!

Bathroom. Check out the floor, it's actually quite nice!

Mathilda washing clothes. We all love washing our clothes, it's so much fun first washing them, then rinsing them, then squeezing all the water out before you hang them up. AND then taking them down again a few hours later.
